perhaps you would say it was my constant hounding that finally gave way to you pulling the wool over my eyes and then the slickness of your smooth thereafter as you said it could take a lifetime of using and you would prefer that to just until it killed us you did that thing with your toes moving around since they were more subtle than your thighs doing those things like butterfly wings when we were in public places taking turns whispering of our wanting like dogs in heat I pretended more often not to really want to but you said my pockets gave it away so easy and you knew I never carried that much change or bananas, or baseball bats, or an extra leg so you knew you could be lapping me roughly you were nonchalant in your seeping speak as if the crossing of limbs would dam you like the dutch boy without his fingers and did I mind how your skin looked damp was it a craving for cellophane wrappings or just how my appetite seemed to whet you ____________ daark |
