There is a low,
menacing rumble going on
down here in the swamp.
This rumbling has nothing whatsoever to do
with the Heavens.
No, it is man-made and scary.

At the core of the rumblings
are a myriad of questions
concerning the person
who has occupied the Oval Office
for the last two years.
Whatever those who voted so blindly
for this so-called "messiah,"
was thinking,
reality has reared its ugly head
even as he goes about his business
willingly wrecking what made
America the most powerful nation in the world.
I strongly believe those
"believers" really thought
He could have parted the water
as Moses did,
if, and when He needed to.
Thusly when He was seated in the Oval Office
He merely had to smile
and wave His elegant and manicured hand
and America,
yea, the world's problems would be solved
by royal decree.

Those who lived through the
two-year election cycle in dumfounded delirium,
trying to understand what there was about
this Chicago Insider
that would make everyone bow and scrape.
Nothing stuck with the Man.
Oh, He had plenty which was of the "stick-um" stuff.
His background was not just suspect,
some of it was out-and-out
racist and criminal;
at least His mentor preacher
and His best friend,
the unrepentant Weatherman murderer'
they were racist and criminal.
The news media were all,
and I do mean all,
down on their knees,
mouths open to receive Him.

Well,
the believers and the dumbfounded
are sitting back today
waiting for His reign to begin,
two years into it.
The world is also.
He had the economy stupid,
to kick off His sovereignty.
He had Iraq.
He had health care.
There is the whole of the Middle East
who He bows and scrapes to.
Is He their friend,
at the expense of our freedom?

Even the believers are beginning to see cracks
in His rhetoric,
as opposed to real life decisions,
especially within His cabinet.
They are starting to maybe understand
that they did,
in fact,
help elect something the corrupt
Chicago Political Machine turned out.
The dumbfounded believe
He is just playing a game of one-upmanship.
The Silhouette of the Swamp
makes no judgment,
I merely observe and respond.

I do know this, however,
the world is in for nothing less
than World War III
if sane heads do not get together
and condemn this
religious holy war which is
being carried worldwide.
But condemning them will only work
if they have the will
and the power behind them
to back this condemnation up.
In the meantime,
the rumblings continue down here in the swamp.

World War III is in your future . . .

Much insight on your part Jerry.
As I said before you have the ability to put into words what others seem to miss.

"World War III is in your future . . ."

Inevitable, I think.  And the many scars to follow.

Have enjoyed reading your 'swamp thing', my friend.

Thank you j, I even wrote a book about America's second civil war many years ago by the name of "Margaret and David: A Love Story."
