I remember when
the emotions ran deep
and I was lost in what I felt

I remember when
I was flying solo
and I knew him
before we met

~~~~~~
I remember when
thinking turned dangerous
and feelings swam
to the surface
u and I were
eye to eye
both afraid to fly
we took the greyhound that day
due to circumstances
beyond our control
from one to coast
to the other
we rode along
the concrete river
carrying us back
to the beginning
~~~~~~

I remember when
common sense
was lost on him
and timing eluded us both

and he followed us
like you knew he would
and I still remember
do you???

You ask if those memories are shared... I'm betting they are... and hope healing comes to all involved.

Well written my friend! Nothing special to pick out because it was all special.

My Greyhound, hitch hiking rides, and drives in my TR3 were generally somewhere within the roads of Calif., Arizona, New Mexico, Okla, Texas, Louisiana and Mississippi.

Never got to make the Coast to Coast, But saw, did and heard enough in just those states to last a lifetime.

Really enjoyed this piece.

This is a winner and this is a keeper. A special lady and myself took that coast-to-coast ride out of necessity from LA to NY. The rest of the story is not worth telling.

i am so taken by the wordplay of your poem, Angel4aKing. It is one of those that just gets under your skin, especially if youy have a personal stake in it as I do with that bus trip.
