I Could

if I could write you
it would be breath
a dream I have in daylight
I could say I love you
but they are mere words
and words are more
than what we have
where your hand
unlocks me in
the small of my back
the only master key
I could say you are
the matching page
on the other side
of life’s book
a drink from ache
the desire of need
I could read you
in brail across the night
where my fingers touch
stars chasing your prints
or listen to your echo
left in shells on beaches
whispering secrets
I can have this and more
I could, yes I could

Descending down through your words gives the feeling of descending into love. Very nicely done. Exquisite is the best single word I can find to describe this piece.

Its long work I do.
My short pieces are so few.
I dont do Haiku.

Your words enchant me so completely I forget to breathe... but even with breath, I can't verbalize my appreciation. Exquisitely beautiful!

I could have this too Helen, who couldn't??

Have I ever told you how much I enjoy your poetry? I've got a feeling I have, and always will!

So, so beautiful.
