so slender is this then, our ocean
like but a window thin between
hello sounds and what we call
our much more heavenly kind of music

and you bring your woman waters slowly
as if they were too heavy to carry
or lest you spill a drop upon the sand
and my mouth misses your full intentions

you read my eyes with hungry fingers
and kiss commas between the lines
leaving residue I will return for often
as you smear it over your wanting places

so there is no place left for imagination
when my ravenous is fully aroused
and your fragile is partially broken
just enough you say, to seep whiskey

and make me drunk on your predictions

Enjoyed your poem, Dark, but can one think when drunk?

"Get drunk and stay that way.
On what?
On wine, poetry, virtue, whatever.
But get drunk."
(Charles Baudelaire)

Doesn't allways have to be whiskey that we get drunk on.

I enjoy your poetry, Dark...it often reminds me of other great poets.

Your poetry is better than whiskey or wine to bring on an energizing high ...  inebriating indeed.

Pliny the Elder said "In vino veritas" ... (in wine there is truth), just as you say with other words in your comment. But your poetic use of "drunk" here is different.

Love,
Margherita

Intoxicating are your words... and they don't give hangovers. *S*
