Under his spell

In the rain she walks and talks
with a soft tremor on her lips
and a dreamy smile full of hints.
Myriads of tiny raindrops
absorb and reflect her truth
in the furtive run over her face.

In rivulets of aching desire
her secret flows to the ground
receptive like a fertile womb
ready to stir with new life
and treasure the seeds of love
to make them burst open
and grow into flower songs
in colors all new to the eye.

She has welcomed him within
the silken walls of her heart
though their souls had danced
across the ether since forever.
The butterflies in her belly-sky
sometimes leave her breathless
her song transforms into sighs
she surrenders closing her eyes.

She hurries then to meet him
upon their very own meadow
where only their footsteps are known.
It still rains but the sun is piercing through
to make their kiss as memorable
as a sudden double rainbow
that frames all the earthly beauty
and makes all life bow in awe.

She can’t storm his heart castle
and she can’t tiptoe out of it either
she quite simply is under his spell.
He roams freely under her skin
she is not tied to him with strings
but she knows and feels the reality
of being one with him eternally.

Beautiful combination of nature and sensual relationship.  The visuals were stirring. I enjoyed this very much!

Amazing poetry. I shall return for a second read. The character the poem is written about has wandered into a lover's limbo. She knows it. She understands it. She is as one with it. I like the truthfulness and reality of this, because there are many situations like this, and some might criticize, but if she is happy with what she has, and she is, that is all that is needed so she can hold her head up with the best of the naysayers.

~~ How come abbreviated is such a long word? ~~

This is why I love poetry.
This is what I come to see when I see you have posted.
This is why the earth is a woman
This is why the sky is man
This explains the zeyphr,
This explain why he must spread the rain as seed.

She can’t storm his heart castle
and she can’t tiptoe out of it either
she quite simply is under his spell.

I think these are my favorite lines in this beautiful whole... they went straight to my heart! *S*

Love the picture of God's promise in his creation.

"She can’t storm his heart castle
and she can’t tiptoe out of it either
she quite simply is under his spell."

Intriguing write Margarita.
Enjoyed.

It has occured to me that perhaps we create our own reality. If that is so you are a lucky women, Margherita.

Thank you, one by one, for your heartwarming, generous, wonderful comments. Right now I do not have the time to address each of you individually. Forgive me, but know how much I enjoyed every visit and touch of yours.

Love,
Margherita
