does it bother you
that I write of the dawn
with such familiarity
as if we were intimate
or had been before

and when the night lingers
tugging at my tattoos
with naked damp fingers
as if insatiable had returned
does it bother you

or those afternoon moanings
when you whisper helpless
that you didn't plan it
but your body just made you
and you need to go after

does it bother you
that I write of the dawn
with the same familiarity
as you and I are intimate
or had been many times before

when it didn't bother you

You write of the dawn with the same familiarity as if you were the sun's son rising together with her every day and pouring light all over the Earth, smiling while all the darkness fades.

You may call yourself Dark, but you know of the Light.

This is deeply charming and ... doesn't bother me in the least
