Sometimes we fail to reach out.
We seem to think
Asking for someone to listen to us
Is a weakness,
And we don't want to appear weak.
So instead of asking,
And receiving,
Much needed help from another human being,
If only a sympathetic pat,
Or an energetic hug,
We lie in bed at night,
And cry ourselves to sleep.
