Blackbelt Theatre

"Did you ever try
to apply make-up
to a black eye."

Black hair,
black dress,
black belt,
black eye,
cross her not
dare you even try,
the last one that did
is wearing a black eye.

I warned her
that my honey
knew kung fu,
she thought I spoke
of an uncle she knew.

I think your gentle heart mends a black eye of one and risks nothing from the other. Some kind of mental kung-fu, it works, as does your poem here.
