TAHIRA MIA 28 August 2011 What music there is in your name! What joy it must bring you when somebody asks you “What is your name?” to say, sing, celebrate, “Tahira Mia!” Forgive me for any misspelling – I haven’t seen it written. I merely heard it on a Spirit Sunday TV presentation on interfaith tolerance” Just say your name, and listen with all your senses. I have a young friend in Namibia, called Nangula Nafuka. For sheer pleasure, I often start an email to her with “Nangula Nafuka, Nangula Nafuka, Nangula Nafuka” I have heard it asked, “What is there in a name?” My answer is that there can be many things, but few, as with the two of you, have names the angels sing. All things have a vibration (sound) and by having that we all have a song in our name as it is spoken. Great insight and poetry. JL |

Thanks, Jimmy. Whilst Nangula is my friend, I don't know Tahira Mia from a bar of soap, but perhaps she can feel the goodwill across the ether! Smiles. I will be sending the poem to Nangula, though, and I know she will love it. I agree, JL, but some of those sounds are a lot more melodious than others. Thanks for your kind words. Owl |
