He came from a place that was once said not to exist "The world is flat and beyond here, there be monsters" He sat on the footsteps of a building built in that time, staring at the castle, even 400 years older, built on faith, in glorious homage to a God that had bound this land together from a band of tribes and small villages scattered over a rich fertile land, ripe for the farming in the foothills of majestic mountains filled with silver and sparkling gems that would be discovered later. This Cathedral, this Castle ordered, then built, by a king to repay the God that had brought him his glory. Vaclav It was a place for the people to use and worship their God and the land finally ruled by one of their own. Now, 1000 years later that God nearly forgotten having that representative priesthood kill and war against a Huss Protestant Revolution that dare oppose a rich and powerful church. They taught of sacrifice, giving... meager men, for a meager life of charity and those that followed were burned at the stake thrown from the tops of city towers and piked, their heads displayed for all to see the results for the pursuit of a peaceful patriot "Heretics!" they roared and claimed the example of what "Christian" "love" remained weakened by a split land, a split people the religious faithful remnant fled, to try their hand, in a new land... of religious freedom in the place that was discovered beyond... "Where there be monsters" So, he now, half way on his journey East the midpoint between Silk and beast exiled... or rather pushed onward by those descendants left in this land filled with the unethical few which eve the native scourged, and try to escape, or foreign marry, because... they don't trust each other, too Communist and Nazi Party rule yet another example for ethics example could these people construe? A rattled misanthropic mostly melancholy mindset held together by strings of barely enforced "laws" Their forgotten faith leaves a vacuum but what can they do? In this half spent journey, a man is torn in two temptation in the wilderness between what every man wants and what his faith tells him is true. |

Very good read... even if there might be an insert typo in there somewhere. This is well-written on many levels and also describes some of the conditions in America and the entire "First World" today. Where do those seeking decent freedoms run off the map to these days, though? |

Yes, there is a typo in it, but I left it in there because the typo has meaning for me. And it gives it a little intrigue or twist for those that want to think about it Thanks for the comment; ~Brad |
