so, you admit you’re an idiot
she replied
in an acrimonious sort of way
and he lent
a soft-worn tear to his arid-blown cheek

you have to admit you give me cause
she was heard to say
throated with a voice so shrill
it pierced his ears
and impaled his heart to the closet door

of his mind’s sole eye, so lie then was it
life shattered into shards of circumstance
rotting to the core of broken romance
sifting his soul through love’s dark glance
leaving only banter-brawls
precipitating scanter squalls

with admissions of intimacy
in the cries of indelicacy
leading to absurdity
in the burrows of hypocrisy
as she replies

so, you admit you’re an idiot

. . . and the game goes on and on and on . . . If lust wasn't such a strong emotion I do believe the male and females of the world would declare total and real war on each other and use the latest weapons of mass destruction..
