White Light

And I saw white light
burning in effigy
and I saw black nights
as a lonely entity

And I heard hearts beat
in perfect harmony
and I heard dancing feet
dance away from me

And I wrote a song
for every cold night
for everything gone wrong
for everything gone right

And I felt the breeze
sifting through skin
and I fell to my knees
my heart wide open

And I wrote a song
for every lost soul
for everything that's gone
for everyone to be whole

And I saw black night
turning over me
and I saw white lights
uncover the mystery

And I'll sing until every human life is beautiful
and the words are soothing, the tune full of soul
for every loser riding the dawn for lost answers

trying to uncover white light
trying to blow over the cold black nights
for everything that's wrong I'll sing until it's made right
