I heard your laughter between the lines and failed attempts at rhyme and reason parting ways with a sad smile remembering that funny little dance we danced and I've missed you ever since. Some days I picture your silhouette in the starry night passing without a glance never truly comfortable with the surrounding elements we ran hot and cold and in between choosing the wrong place and time while having the time of our lives brief and fulfilled. Somewhere in the tall grass and daydreams I left you a poem in shades of blue and you left a heady taste a bouquet I still savor a vintage season distilled to tears. |

Blues, all of this is wonderful, but this part - Somewhere in the tall grass and daydreams I left you a poem in shades of blue and you left a heady taste a bouquet I still savor a vintage season distilled to tears Ooh, I like that. It's...I dunno, lyrical. Wordplay and metaphor, just beautiful. Keep it up!! |

"Some days I picture your silhouette in the starry night passing without a glance never truly comfortable with the surrounding elements we ran hot and cold and in between choosing the wrong place and time while having the time of our lives brief and fulfilled." such complex situation, however you wrote so beautifully about it. Fine writing. "The secret behind survival of mankind is kindness and love within our hearts" |

we ran hot and cold and in between choosing the wrong place and time while having the time of our lives brief and fulfilled. Somewhere in the tall grass and daydreams I left you a poem in shades of blue and you left a heady taste a bouquet I still savor a vintage season distilled to tears. This is exquisite... beautiful and bittersweet! |

I will answer this with a thought from someone who knew more about such thoughts that are in your poem, than I. "Ah, when to the heart of man Was it ever less than a treason To go with the drift of things, To yield with a grace to reason, And bow and accept the end Of a love or a season? (Robert Frost-from "Reluctance" Your reluctance to forget is very human, even in the presence of your present lover...it is no sin to remember.. Love the way this poem moves me to think deeply. Thank You for it....:-) Come read to me some poem, |

Oh dear Lori, this was soo beautiful... even though I'll never find it, I'm about to go looking in a tall field of dreams for that special poem, but then all of your poems have always been very special. So nice to read you again! Richard |
