you have seen my eyes when they are warm
when you said they melted into your chill
and gave your heart place a fire to know

you have heard my songs of odin
the metal songs with wooden shields
where the scent of oak is bloodless

you have worn my dreams as gowns
covering your shimmer skin in satin
leaving imagination for the blind men

you have been the river of my soul
my currents have been your blood
and my ocean your safe encampment

you have been within the freedom of my walls

Dark, my friend... Initially I copied a bunch of lines... they all touch me, more so with every verse. But this line just wouldn't let me go... I can't even vocalize what I feel when I read it... I can only say this poem is going into my library. Thank you.
