Stopped on red, Glance around You find Fixation Eyes on eyes. * Your mind speaks Ignore- Divert-fein Disinterest Fix your collar Tame a curl Tilt your mirror, Check the gauges Raise the radios sound. * You dont have to turn, To know they're still looking As their stare is mirrored, In temporary permanence Within the sensate chiasm Of your brows third eye. * Antenna's Vibrate oddly As the door That never opened Closes, When the light turns green. |

This is wonderful, my friend...and if I had to pick a favorite part - it would be the photo - excellent composition, it could stand on it's own, without the poetic emphasis, and still say volumes. Well Done! j. |

"You dont have to turn, To know they're still looking As their stare is mirrored, In temporary permanence Within the sensate chiasm Of your brows third eye." Nice one. Love this verse, maxed the brain. JL |

Jwesly Thank you for the kind review. It took me a while to find that picture...but it was perfect...a pronounced third eye, and the red and green colors of the traffic light, in the flowers, and leaves to mimic the words in the poem. ************************ Margherita I am so glad you saw this, and made such a nice review. Love it when you read my stuff...:-) ************************* EBG Ummm I am married, but still alive, so I only look. It is the odd feelings one gets on occasion, when your eyes become crossed with another, especially of the opposite sex, and there is a fixation. This is what the poem is about, that general feeling. ***************************** Sunny "Such a fixation... knowing well what is at home." Indeed I do know..Thank you for reading. ****************************** JL Oh, those are my favorite lines in the poem...a pivotal point, that leads to the light turning green. Thank you. Come read to me some poem, Some simple and heartfelt lay, That shall soothe this restless feeling And banish the thoughts of day. Longfellow |
