We came together and gathered there, to say goodbye to sorrow and dis-pare. A life of torment, filled with disdain, so full of anguish, derived from pain. We hoisted it aloft and slung it down low, the time had come to inter it below. All the heart ache, fear, and poignant goodbyes, the frustration, rage, and pain finally dies. We grieve not for its tortured soul. Tears aren't shed as the bells slowly toll. We mourn for the innocence lost today, the fact that devastation finally drove it away. The destitute tale it did have to tell, then it disappeared and left just a shell. A hopeless, lost, disoriented sheath, that waited for what love would at last bequeath. We buried it deep, a job well done, but sill its heart called out to the one. The one that will come and raise it up, with love and understanding, overflowing its cup. The depression and angst finally shorn away, its something new, that's been molded today. Not remade by fire, but loves fiery touch; it lives again and desires so much. A future once bleak, is lit from above, for the one came and gave it, undiminishable love. |

Dear Allan, I much enjoyed the progressive development in your well written poem and the conclusive considerations which bring comfort and uplift the heavy heart. Indeed we have the divine global embrace that restores our wounds and brings healing and the energy to continue to give Love the priority in all of our days, despite the painful experiences we have endured. Very beautiful. Love, Margherita |
