Dowd In His Light by Linda L. Dowd I am haunted by the hinterlands where once I used to roam. ~ Aimlessly in wander, with no place to call my home. The trees were stark and barren and flowers never bloomed. The skies were dark and threatening and all my dreams were doomed. I'd stumble as I made my way across the rocky plain. A warming sun was hidden by dark, heavy clouds of rain. Cold winds blew incessantly and chilled me to the core. “Please help me God, to carry on!” ~ Each day I would implore. When all my strength had ebbed away, gold rays pierced steel skies. I beheld a landscape burgeoning as tears of joy brimmed seeing eyes. Trees were lush with foliage, roses bloomed as I looked on. I was filled with awe and wonderment as I witnessed a new dawn. I was flooded with emotion, as I felt the love of God. He wrapped me in His warm embrace as I stood upon His sod. When I had lost my faith in Him, I had tumbled into Hell. ~ Now I walk beneath blue skies and in His Light, I dwell. ~ + ~ “We are born of star dust, and to the stars we shall one day return.” ~ Linda L. My very dear friend, Linda Tears of very many mixed emotions are cascading down my cheeks. – some of joy, some of fear that I refuse to think about – and others that I am too emotional right now to identify, but yes, I do know what you are doing (and have known before especially with one particular poem, but then too I couldn’t admit it), but whilst I love and admire you and am so grateful to you for that, I can’t think about those things now, and I WILL NOT give up prayers, nor hope, nor belief in your increased health, physical and spiritual comfort, and happiness and being with us for a long time yet to come. I am SO glad that you are, as almost always, walking in His light again. I ache for the time you were in Hell, but know that by the grace of God and your indomitable spirit, that you will always be able to come back to the light of His path where you belong. I pray new and different POWERPUNCH prayers for you every day, and I KNOW He is looking after you and blessing you as only you can understand. I aspire to being like you, my dearest friend, for whom I have the greatest admiration and love, and that in the greatest trials and tribulations, that I will be able to stand strong and in the faith and be able to bless and bring warmth, light and love to all around me, as you do. Know that all who know you, love and admire you and want only the best for you, and rest on us whenever you need us, despite the wonderful family that you have as well, and all the non-Pip friends and supporters that you have. I remember only too well, that Shannon said that you bring light and love to all the doctors and nurses and patients around whom you have been – and that can’t surprise anyone who has known you for longer than 2 minutes. Oh, Linda, I had to hold back my tears throughout your poem to hear every nuance of your voice. How blessed I feel to hear the beautiful tones of your soft, rounded Canadian accent again, enriched and empowered by triumph over suffering. God, please make the dialysis make yet more and more wonderful differences for our Linda and please bring her even more miracles than You have already done. At one stage, I was counting the ones I knew about, but have lost count now. Owl |

Well, I will just linger here for a while breathing in your beauty ... What a marvellous gift this morning from you, dearest Linda Angelo Terrestre. Your voice a caress, your words so beautiful, powerful and comforting, the music inspiring. All together it becomes an event, to be enjoyed profoundly and certainly to come back to when uplifting is what we need (and we all do from time to time!). Thank you for this gift and for YOU.
