I walked along a narrow trail, and never broke my stride. I stood tall and stepped fast, and to no one, showed my pride. In my calmness I found myself, perhaps a little troubled. And I felt as if I was being followed, and so my pace, I doubled. But my fears are misplaced I think, for the footsteps were only mine. And soon I felt my troubles fade, and thus, I felt just fine. It's funny how the mind works, that when we're calm we seek. For worry and woe and fear, into our minds we peek. And soon we find our deepest fear, and let it ravage us slowly. As we let go of our own bliss, and accept our fear wholly. I'm not unlike the rest of us, I fear and weep and cry. And wonder often why I am, and answer with a lie. That I am here for something, is a fool I do confront. And perhaps I'm meant to do great things, but oh how my mind is blunt. They call me odd for being a cynic, but I am sure I'm right. Yet my resolve and fortitude, make me an eerie sight. I must be a man of insufferable ego, and men must see right through me. They must be able to see my fears, and my courage, ready to flee. But this narrow trail I walk along, is what I should pursue. For it does not need questions, its tread is tried and true. And me, I am like a root. Twisted, but strong in my hold. And like a tree, I grow. Eventually I'll be old. But now I'm a leaf in the wind, light as a feather and poised as a fist. I am not sure who I am yet. I am the man of myth and mist. |

You walk on your Path and your ponderings are very well rendered. Fear is men's greatest enemy ... Your awareness makes you move right on track. Well done. M |

And soon we find our deepest fear, and let it ravage us slowly. As we let go of our own bliss, and accept our fear wholly. That is all too often the case... finding fears and not seeing our strengths. I enjoyed this very much! |
