Ifa man could walk between the seconds of time what wondrous things he could find. a life so divine unconfined by the passing of time a space to traverse the endless universe, empowered to alter the tomorrows of history enough time to solve life's mysteries to quench his thirst in Infinite love to remain forever young. If you ever ever figure out how to do that I wonder if you could send me the manual? I'll return it I promise. Great words Mike! Eric two maggots were fighting in dead earnest! |

I'm standing in line for that manual right after Eric, Mike. I suppose man will continue wondering about that elusive eternal life on earth. I wonder, however, if it were to be figured out it wouldn't have some repercussions a la Dorian Gray. ~ Clones are people two ~ |

I would love to live forever. Just wish the world was a little bit better we lived in. When the family is together, the soul is at peace - Russian Proverb |

worth reading multiple times...but every time I did, I came back to the same line... "empowered to alter the tomorrows of history" ...powerful thought...going back to read it again |

Ah, Dorian Gray fooled around with forever lasting life and you see what it got him. Would I take a sip of the magic potion if it promised me eternal life? Probably. Almost sure I would. But living forever would cause problems unseen. What great idea for a novel, and since I consider myself a novelist . . . Who knows, maybe. Yeah, Dorian Gray already did it, but it could still be done again all modernized. Something I shall think about. ~ There's nothing worse than desiring more than you are desired.--Justine Cook / "Portrait" ~ |

I love your poem, but sadly I don't agree with you. You see, I can see that you are young and understandably, you don't know the ecstasy and wholeness of being old. There are those who are old, but who are "young at heart" as the cliché goes. I am not one of those. I am old and in love with being old. I am 65 and I am one to whom has been given the key to the padlock on the gate of the magic garden of being old. Sadly there are so few of us. Granted, I am blessed with health I haven't seen in another person in 65 years - and I need very little sleep and very little food, but have the energy of a dozen 20-year olds. I wish I could impart the joy and exhileration of enjoying old age the way I do, but sadly, every locksmith I take the garden gate padlock key to, tells me they can’t duplicate that key . . . but I will keep trying. If anyone knows of a master locksmith, please let me know . . . Owl |
