Indifference flows from one to the other. They no longer care or want to discover. Their fingers unfeeling, their hearts even colder. Just get through the day, never ever bolder. They seek nothing, never really wanting more. Day in, day out, their life is such a bore. No love, no life, no happiness, to be found. Go through the day, quiet, not a sound. There is no laughter, no happiness can be seen. Nothing exceptional there, nothing new to glean. Sometimes, some nights, they try to drown their fears. Do what they can, to hold back the frustration and tears. Then, when they can no longer care, suddenly, someone appears. Someone who stands up and opposes the dread, breathing life back into another of the living dead. To raise them up, give them hope and desires, no longer drowning, drying out by their fires. A soul saved and a heart rekindles, a life worth living, no longer dwindles. |

I love the hope and the future shown at the end of this piece. |
