I remember the gyspy woman spell
when she pushed whispers into mud
and moved her hands through the smoke
stirring it into tomorrow color shadows

she said I would always be as one with stone
knowing how deep the cold feels within
but appreciating the sun on dawn mornings
and the rains when they come in september

she said I would be at the edge of heaven
where only the tides touched my sides
and moss would never know of my brow
as it would not linger long enough to grow

she said I would taste of the love trees
when their scent was redwood on evening
and that I would move with sand quakes
into the shuddering throws of thunder

and after I would be as one who is stone

Time and again, I got lost in your wonderful images... but this verse is my favorite... just beautiful!

"after, one who is stone", you could also change to sand that is held in open palm.

Now, I'm really enjoying
the mysterious throw of
this net over time...

reminds me of Merlin...

I'm thinking I'm gonna put that on my headstone, here lies bluezy at the edge...
I will be sure to give the writer credit, written in the dark, of course.

They do say if you look back you will turn to stone, but sometimes stone is better then being paper thin so easily torn .... The stone that never breaks .... Like a rock!!!!
