It is no gift to see your arms on mine Rather, a miracle That leaves you enjoying the ride We are our own Through blood and dirt Through tears and fears We are our own We dance until life is awake, again Where sadness can overwhelm the rivers The laughter that bellies from all walks of life To dance until we hold one another For life is our greatest fate It is our last reprieve For the sky to beckon the wind Reckon with the sun to show its face one more time Our own This and the land. |
