Thoughts of Why Why this moment tears to fall been so long now, afterall. These memories in thousands, words printed out for no one, heard. Ten years, more of feelings met both sad and happy, doubts, and yet Why this moment thoughts to hold of "uphill battles" (feeling old). Watching world, its passing by, calmly swinging in thoughts of why. M "Love is not blind - It sees more and not less, but because it sees more, it is willing to see less." |

Ack! The ALL consuming "why" strikes again... RUN!!!!!! Truly this is a very good poem. Unheard words are the poet's bane... I, personally, dread looking back at much of my poetry for that very reason. Very good work... I enjoyed it much. Michael |

Thanks Bruce. Michael, I am in the process of trying to save all my poems that I started writing in 1998-99...and as I am copying and pasting into a word program to print out. In one name only I have over 2200. ( I have an old computer here and the disc copier and flash drive won't work on here...) I am reading some of the replies from my poet friends I met in real and on here, some of whom are gone, and it brings back such memories. I don't know what I would have done these last 10-11 years without their friendships and kind words. I am sure many have gone through worse trials and many losses and I know I wouldn't be here today without their support. So I thank them all. Maureen |

Warm hugs for you, Maureen! Yes, those yesterdays are very special aren't they? Although there are a few I would rather forget. Your poem is lovely and tugs at my heart. |

Aye, the support, love and friendship found in this forum is amazing. I, too, have deep memories here that will always be cherished. I spoke selfishly before, viewing most of my personal poetry as scabbed over wounds. I thank you for granting me a different point of view on this. True to your penname - you call it like you see it. I admire that in you. Michael |

Fine writing, writing and sharing with like minded people surely helps. "The secret behind survival of mankind is kindness and love within our hearts" |

Don't envy you that task, my friend...but the memories the job evokes is priceless. I did essentially the same thing to 40 years of photographs my father-in-law took before he died, a tough job, but a wonderful experience. j. |

Great poetry, M. I liked the rhyme scheme in this little heartfelt, heartsick, ditty. ~ If work is so terrific, why do they have to pay you to do it. ~ |

Sorry I am so late in getting back to this...life does tend to get in the way! Thanks Lor, I will always remember those "good" times we shared! tuffluv66, thank you for stopping by. Michael, the compliment is returned. I enjoy reading you. And yes, many wounds, but as I reread them ( not anywhere finished yet) I can see the last 12 years for what they were...living life... even if not what I had expected. Thank you again. JL. when I first began I didn't even know about a poetry site or being on line and decided to send myself emails with my thoughts after I lost my father. Discovered Loving You.com ( where I met Marge and from there made some other online poet friends and spent at least one year of turmoil on here writing daily. Sometimes I don't even know where those words came from. Thank you for your kind thoughts. Martie, I think I am just reliving some of the past in my words and realizing I survived it all when I thought I wouldn't. Thank you for always showing strength and being such a great poet role-model. M Prasad, "The secret behind survival of mankind is kindness and love within our hearts" ..this is so true. Thank you JW I also have photos to go through eventually. My 87 year old Mother is constantly "dumping"( not the appropriate word) her/our past life on me because she doesn't want it to be trashed if and when she is gone. Here I am trying to simplify my life and I keep ending up with "more". But it does make me grateful for all I have/have gone through, and where I am today. You have been a wonderful, caring friend and I have always appreciated your word support! M JamesM, you are so lucky to live in Hawaii..a paradise I guess I will never get to visit. Thank you Alison, does oatmeal really make you crazy? Thank you for always being here. I have been watching specials on traveling to Alaska, another state I would love to see. Your photos are wonderful! suthern, I was always sorry you never got to come to the Florida meet. Marge spoke so highly of you. Thank you for your kind thoughts. Jerry, thank you for your thoughts. You are appreciated and a very nice addition here. Ron has truly made this a comfortable place to rest one's thoughts! Thanks again!
