Father Father a child Child of love Love of family Family of four girls Girls of his heart Heart of a man Man of his word Word of wisdom Wisdom passed down Down to us all All are now grown Grown apart Apart but still close Close as always Always there for me Me and my Dad Dad I love you You my father Father [This message has been edited by katahdin (08-03-2011 09:42 PM).] |

Thanks Alison! I wrote this for my Dad. He wrote me a poem in 1969 which I still keep. I've always wanted to write one for him but there was so much to say so finally I thought it was better to keep it simple and to the point. He loved it! Kat >^..^< |

I love the reason for the poem as much as the poem. What a special gift. A |

I love the reason for this poem as well. I wrote one for my Father once as well..Called it Daddy's Hands. It will always be very special to me as he is. Thanks for sharing. |
