Your Touch

You touch and I’m left dangling on a string with heart expanding
and I do believe no angling will relieve me of its load for now I’m
captured, snared and raptured by sensations manufactured on a
countdown to a fracture bursting to explode.

Out blast the tingling impacts riding nerves to every synapse
telling knees and legs they might collapse upon this flattened
floor. I’m drenched in breathless breathing that now blinds my
heart perceiving why my lungs and mouth are grieving since
there’s oxygen no more

‘cause your aroma sends me reeling with hypnotic smell careening
into muscle, flesh and bone at rates which can’t be charted
and I would spend forever basking in your breath with everlasting
hope you’d never end my gasping only just now started.

Then from that magic moment transfixed, I will find your image
did fix in my mind when Time does insist I have reached my end.
I’ll walk Eternity without the stumbling on legs and feet made whole
from crumbling ‘cause thoughts of you will brace my tumbling
down that breakless bend.

Namyh

tuffluv – A lifetime can indeed often fit in a moment but an equivalent poser is how a moment can often make a whole lifetime. Thanks tuffluv for your enjoyment and for stopping by with your insight. Namyh

*S* - When the heart races, the blood surges, the nostrils flare and the oxygen level depletes rapidly, There’s a good chance you’ve been “touched”. And here’s the kicker. Its impact on the physiology of the human body is exponentially heightened when it’s……..accidental and least expected! Whoa! I better stop now ‘cause my pulse is starting to quicken. LOL. So very glad you love those lines. Thanks suthern for putting a big “S” in my day with your enjoyment. Namyh

ebonygirl – What poet could ask for more than for a written work to be enjoyed by a fellow poet. That ‘touches’ me as I hope this ‘touched’ you. Thanks for stopping in ebonygirl. Namyh

Loved the opening stanza in particular, and the opening line was perfect!, my friend, and definitely enjoyed everything that followed...

Touch,

the singularly most common
yet uncommon
sensory requirement needed
to
feel.

Enjoyed, Namyh. Thank you!

I like how different this poem is from your recent postings, and I like to think of the "touch".  Thank you.

fine lines, that's how i feel while having my morning lemon tea and watching the eucalyptus trees from my balcony.

A touch that sings in every vibrant line you offer us here, dear Namyh.

A big smile lingers here after this exciting and enthralling read.

Love,
