Tears of light and darkness |

They sat where only the tears could hear them cry The hold of her eyes Much like the oval drops onto her mothers soft skin. His voice began to cackle As the ruins of the town Began to turn to dust She necked his skin, slowly Like the night of the sea turning into it's calm wake. His tired cheeks softened, With each finger placed onto his dark, brown skin The fire was at ease As the children began to sleep His lips paused her thoughts Slowly beginning at the top of her mouth and didn't rest until the fire lost sight of her fair skin. When the night gave way to dawn Her tears were dry Patches still seen along the cuffs of his flannel, red shirt. |
