Side Of My Heart There's a side of my heart that you haven't seen built upon leather, smoke and dirty magazines I've seen the movie and I can take a hint narrow your vision of me to the darkest tint then maybe you'll see me as I am There's a side of my art they you'll never know brushes bled white in the December snow I hear the distant clicking of your smile it's leading me up this scenic country mile from wounded heart to broken heart Take some time to fall then speed up the thrill of it all you're not listening you're not listening to me it's harder then you'll know break out the Edgar Allen Poe try to trace the roadmap to my feelings tell me you're dealing with this stuff tonight There's a side of my heart painted in silvery blue all aluminum shining even when I'm untrue you've been screwing up my life so well these dreams from fears, I can't even tell well maybe this is how it goes Take some weather inside then bottle up all my rolling tides I'm not gonna die I'm not gonna die for you I'll be in the stars and sea hang on a half moon, you'll see find a place for my soul to break apart pieces to fill up your heart until the morning Dawn breaks like a bull in a china shop and the pills I cop dull nothing beyond saving but hell, I had to try I had to find out why These sides of my heart that you'll someday see built upon scarred and crying stormy seas I've read that book and I found you here marrow in the bone too much to disappear well maybe baby you'll know me as I am and I'm gonna be moon to raging sea ooh I gotta be.. This side of my heart opening slowly but torn all apart are you listening are you listening to me it's harder then you'll know to let this hurt and stupidity show try to face this face and tell me how you feel tell me how to deal with this love tonight oh tonight "If dreams are like movies, then memories are films about ghosts" |
