Sweet Cello

In the very middle
of the night
I awoke
thinking of her,
hoping that she
was thinking of me.
Was she?

I wonder if
she knows
how much I miss her
since that first night
when I kissed her,
as her sweet cello played
into the night
everything seemed
to be alright.
If only she was
in my arms tonight...
