I watched or listened to almost all of the trial. Caylee Marie Anthony A little girl was missing And her, skeleton, finally found A Mother charged with murder And, a Jury, Duty Bound! A huge, crazy, media frenzy Tried in the tabloids and in news Pundits of every strange kind Putting forth, their varied views. Evidence? Circumstantial! The truth? We may never know! But, the State for the Death Penalty Might have been, their death blow. I used to be an advocate But, Murder is still the same And, wonder how many have Died By mistake, in Justices’ Name? Maybe, Casey did the deed But, due to our Constitution The sworn Jury of her Peers Came to, the Right Resolution. A family with many problems But, that’s not what it’s about The State couldn’t prove their case Beyond all, and any doubt. Too many with, nothing, to do Than, to guess and fantasize The thought of any innocence Not seen, by biased eyes. Justice, was truly served And though, many may not like it Just because it may, have happened The Jury, had to strike it. Just take a moment, and think If it were you, standing Trial For, something, you didn’t do Who, would walk that extra mile? “Beyond every reasonable doubt!” (In this case, there were so many!) I tip my hat, to those brave Jurors For, without the Real Truth, there isn’t ANY!! Well I am disappointed to say the least! It is certainly one thing to watch the turn of events on TV and pass judgement, and quite another to sit on that jury and decide a person's fate. |

Abe, I have to agree with you. The mother will be walking away free because the state botched it up in such a way the jurors had no choice. There is no doubt she is a sleazebag of the highest order in the way she handled her daughter's death but the state decided to try her on charges that couldn't be proved and then scream foul when the unprovable case they presented didn't fly. She has spent three years in prison. She will go through the rest of here life with this following her. Her sleaziness will carry a price. The actual murderer, should there be one, will go scot-free. Nice write, Abe. I think you hit on all the salient points. Proof requires proof. Circumstantial evidence is not 'proof without a doubt' which is what you have to prove in a murder case. Peace, always, TB |

I'm not sure if she did it or not but I am sure that the media is focusing too much on some issues and not reporting the important issues that need to be reported...James |
