lingering of vanilla |

we went to those places in our minds like they were free rent hallways with no doors that would close behind perhaps we were too cautious at times but the look backs through those windows are what keeps our eyes hungry now and keeps us tasting residues of a kiss like vanilla bean ice cream, home made and looking away after, wanting more wishing some stubborn summer would linger and leave the drapes open all evening so we could watch ourselves afterwards when we looked back from another beginning ________________ daark |
