Keeping a feeling like this quiet inside my chest is almost like being on the playground in elementary school. Each time he kisses me, my mind practically shouts, “Na, na, na, na, na! I know something YOU don’t know!” It’s like having a secret that you know you can share at anytime, but you are keeping it silent because you like to make him wonder. It’s exciting, in a way. This excitement actually helps me abide by the rules of humanity, as well. You know, the “you can’t say those three words after only two months” rule. So, I will continue to appease society and my inner kindergartener, and keep my vocal chords relaxed for a few more weeks. Or months. Or until not letting the words escape from my mouth start causing a fire to burn inside of me, so intense that the only way to relieve it would be to let him in on my little secret. We’ll see what comes first. *Amber |

Secrets are hard to keep. I wrote a poem a while back about this subject. The first stanza goes like this . . . ' What is a secret if it’s not told, Until you grow old, bitter and cold. As you lay there in your death rattle, Trying to tell, hope you don’t prattle. Those three words. Of course I am jumping to conclusion like probably everyone will be, but those three words need to be cleansed of any thing except purity of being. ~ Man who wants pretty nurse, must be patient. ~ |

Dark Stranger: No.. I am not one to keep secrets too long, no matter how hard I try! JerryPat2: Beautiful poem. And I completely agree with you! |
