Wind chimes harmonize on the relentless summer wind Green dressed branches dance in time to the tune It is my summer song Lilting through my window serenading from the patio The melody puts me in mind Of verandas and mint juleps and an exaggerated southern “Its not the heat, its the humidity” And the shade finds it's self under a billowing cloud that shows promise of a turbulent storm The chimes practice for their concert and light show in the coming rain LGR(C)6/21/11 |

Very beautiful, dear Lori. "It's not the heat, it's the humidity", exactly what we say here all the time too. I am in for a mint julep while listening to the wind chimes ... Perfect atmosphere to feel summer. Love, Margherita |

What a lovely song -- and I laughed. In the winter, we say, "It's cold, but there's no humidity!" xxoxoox A |
