Jiberish, anything for the laughter of Alison This came to me in the middle of the night. Do they teach Jiberish at the public library? Just think, You could be studying Jiberish with your friend in Jiberish class, And if anybody tried to listen in Why, it would just sound like jiberish to them. Do they teach Mumbo Jumbo at the library? Just imagine. You could be talking with your Mumbo Jumbo teacher, And if somebody tried to overhear, It would sound like complete mumbo jumbo to them. Do they teach Jocus Pocus at the public library? You could be having an argument in Hocus Pocus class, And if the Hocus Pocus teacher tried to interfere in Hocus Pocus class, It would just sound like hocus pocus to her. Do they teach how to talk bs somewhere? Of course it would sound like nothing but a bunch of bs … … Do they teach Fiddle Faddle at the public library. You could be talking fiddle faddle To a classmate in Fiddle Faddle class, And if someone tried to get you on tape, Why, it would just sound like nothing but fiddle faddle. Could talking Swahili help me grow African viollets? (This poem was edited with the help of my invisible and imaginary collaborator, Willie Nillie. This poem was written to cause Alison to burst out in an uncontrollable outburst of wildely hysterical ereverent laughter… And everybody else too. :---) |

Jaime, You definitely made me smile. I think that jibberish has its place in any language. You speak it so well and work it into your poetry with so much style. Gotta love it, right. Thank you. Tootsie Troll |
