i can not love you more than i have loved you for i have loved you long and held your love so dearly in my heart of hearts but now my eyes have opened to find my heart in mourning and when the first bird sings outside my bedroom window he sings a sorrowful song for you have found me lacking though i can not understand the how and why of it and yet my love for you was gentle and long suffering There must be a poem in here somewhere. |

But it sounds as if it is over, this love. Great job, Faith. ~ Diplomacy is the art of saying 'Nice doggie' until you can find a rock ~ |

quote: That is what really hurts, also because when we are falling in love, we don't see any lacking in each other. So when this happens, it means that a love has not been able to withstand the test of time ... You say it beautifully, dear Faith. Love, Margherita |

Dear Margherita-Thank you so much for your kind words. Jose Gassett, a spanish philosopher who i greatly admire said, "Love dies when it's birth was in error." That quote has stuck with me over the years and seems to kind of haunt me. It's always a pleasure to find you have stopped by. Love-Faith There must be a poem in here somewhere. |

There is only one happiness in life: to love and be loved. Only the soul that loves is happy. J. W. Goethe, 1749-1831, German philosopher and writer Of all forms of caution, caution in love is perhaps the most fatal to true happiness. Bertrand Russel, 1872-1970, English philosopher and mathematician, Mysticism and Logic Dear Faith, I am glad I found your comment here ... I would like to ask you to let go of that "haunting" quote, though of course not at all denying the value of the philosopher you appreciate. LOVE IS NEVER EVER AN ERROR AT ITS BIRTH. It may be short lived, it may bring along misunderstandings in the long run, but LOVE IS ALWAYS A GIFT, it cannot really die. Its vibrations last forever, long after you have closed that personal chapter with it. Sometimes it may reside in an intense gaze and not be given the opportunity to evolve ... and yet that too is a gift to cherish. When you love, don't ask will it last .... JUST LOVE. Love and hugs. I agree whole heartedly with Margherita, she said it just right about love being a gift even if it ends. Enjoyed your poem. Kat >^..^< |

Dear Margherita-Thank you for your lovely comments. The truth is I still haven't found what I'm looking for and may never find it. I don't think I'm asking for too much but admit I'm a hopeless romantic and miss the kind of romance there was before texting and computers and all.
