The only magic she possessed was simply that she wasn't me. That says too much - (or just enough) I damn the wounds that will not bleed. |

I hear you. I hear you loud and clear. ~ I went to a restaurant that serves "breakfast at any time" / I ordered French Toast during the Renaissance ~ |

love the piece. But don't quite understand the 'keloid' part of it ... maybe I'm just taking it too literal? Will have to read it again... j. |

I believe I get the title and the last line and the ambiguity of "damn/dam", but I don't get how you can believe that you are not magical, but I love the poem anyway, Karen. Smiles. Owl |

serenity blaze - A hidden look into what we may see missing in ourselves that we impute is present in the heroes and sheroes we adore and call magical. An aspect of human nature nicely portrayed here. Liked it a lot. Namyh |

Some memories just don't heal and if they do they leave a nasty scar. I think most people have a keloid memory or two. Always love to follow where you wander, Karen. Ida |

A keloid scar, that any type of surgery cannot remove..In that scar, is a face, that caused the cut...no magic there, it is an emotional wound. The poem says just enough, although if the scar starts to bleed again, it may cause a hemorage. Probably best left alone, your inner beauty pales its existance...and your poetry helps to balm. |
