ORANGE AND BROWN 15 January 2011 What is it about sun-orange and milk-chocolate brown that does something strangely magnified - for my intense glorification of colours that dance? Owl |

I love your description of these colors. I think of chocolate too when I see brown, but of course I am a chocoholic. LOL When the family is together, the soul is at peace - Russian Proverb |

I love them, also. You have such a wonderful way with words. I enjoyed this one a lot! There must be a poem in here somewhere. |

Thank you, Julie. Colours speak, sing and shout to me. I notice them everywhere, delight in them and wrap them all around me. Thank you, Faith for your kind words. You have made my day! Owl |

I know a man who lives close by who says that he sees colors in words, that each word is a color. That hasn't one thing to do with this poem except for the fact it is about colors. I have to admit that orange/milk chocolate brown gives me a warm feeling. ~ Why Do Gorillas Have Big Nostrils? / Because They Have Big Fingers. ~ |

Jerry, what you said about the man who sees words as colours, I actually think has everything to do with the poem. It is his way of celebrating colours, different from mine, but nevertheless, the same appreciation. I can understand what he means, although I don't see words as colours, myself. I have, however, always seen numbers in a linear position in mid-air, each having its own very particular spot with a gentle corner on 10 and a sharp one on 20 and the subsequent numbers just rising higher in the air in an otherwise straight line.
