We are always more than good enough, dear Lori, we are the Queens and if we can't be the Queens, we abandon the King! Very well expressed. The funny thing is you reminded me of an Italian proverb: "Moglie e buoi dei paesi tuoi ..." (Wife and cattle from your own village ...). This expresses the diffidence towards all that is foreign or different. Now things have changed, we are aware of the fact that differences can be very enriching. Loved your write. Margherita |
