shimmer minutes spending

time is a long legged woman there
stepping down the gaze of my stairs
comfortable in her nothing on smile

she speaks of a highway she has known
and how it must be ridden slowly
but more often than just occasional

she tilts her head back then in laughter
and says she must show me the way
not just tell me how to get there

and if she were willing to be spent
would I want to just take her
as long at it took to never stop

and would I allow her to knead me

Okay, I am kneading this poetry tonight. You make me just want to run downstairs and mix up a batch of bread. I don't think I even need an oven to bake it - I'll just read it your poetry.
