Winds Of Tomorrow
By Paul Wilson

There’s a strange feeling
riding the winds of tomorrow
Prophets speak of death
destruction and sorrow

Who knows what the future holds
will stars and moon seal our fate
Will mountains rise up from the sea
will God swing open Heavens gate

Stories have been told by many
one day earth will be no more
Words written in blood
by those that were here before

Shall we heed their warnings
or throw caution to the wind
Into the darkness dreams may fall
or is it all just pretend

Winds of time will always blow
seeds of today into tomorrow
Who will find and plant them
will they tell our tales of sorrow

Perhaps we’ve used all our tomorrows
and rain will wash away our legacy
No memory of our existence will be found
is this how it was meant to be

A somber piece of writing. I like somber writing, so I like this. You raise many questions. The world seems to be going the hell in that old familiar hand-basket. Each day brings some kind of new horror. We have perfected the way to hate.

Jerry Pat2...From a fellow Louisiana resident to another, thanks for taking time to read and for your reply. Like you said it really does seem like we are on a one way road to self destruction. Hopefully things will turn around so our future generations can enjoy the same things we did and improve on it. Thanks Again...Paul

You have written an excellent piece of poetry, dear Paul. I don't think that we have used up all of our tomorrows but the times are no doubt extremely critical. Our Mother Earth is so beautiful and we have not loved or respected her enough and worse even we have not learned yet to love and respect each other.

But we will learn one day, the sooner the better.

Love,
Margherita

Marghertia...Thans so much for reading this piece and as always thanks for your sweet reply. Your words of wisdom are so true. Hopefully this has been just a trial run and we can still change the way we treat our world...Paul
