It is necessary one day to moor one's boat in a idle quay or at a lilac in flower to let the ocean put out flags without bitterness and to listen to the noise of the painless waves, The defeated freedom takes a sense In a subsided and happy sail, Under the flowery pareo of a brunette In her provocating rest as the dune, The table will be served under coconut palms In flavors fallen of a decorated temple You will know by the perfumed skin of this girl Why the sea here sometimes comes to rest, It will be the most precious of houses, And to leave it will never get any sense No more than to feel finally useful Under the accommodating curve of the mangroves which dance. |

This is beautiful. Even though there were changes in setting, the poem is fluid. I can just see it ![]() |

quote: A lilac in flower it would be for me, dear Yann. I receive this as a call to slow down, to enjoy a simple life and fill it with love. And it is true, this is superbly woven together, I might add in Gaugin colors. Love, Margherita ![]() |
