As I crept briskly out of the loft I saw the ivy leaves all covered in frost The glaze on the vines had me all but lost and the warmth of my lantern couldn't melt it off I saw a bit of myself in that ivy Reflecting the cold darkness inside me A flickering flame was the only lighting but the crawling growth seemed so inviting As I followed the vines along that old lattice wall Something felt different this time in late fall A brief escape from my deep withdrawal and all the walls I'd built had begun to fall So now there's a glimmer of hope in that ivy Reflecting the light of a smooth silver lining I could sense a presence that came and revived me told me to turn over new leaves and leave the past behind me |

Makeshift, Welcome to Passions! This piece brought back a very old, but very welcomed memory of when I played beneath the ivy that framed the walls of my grandfather's home. Please, check your email for a Very Special Welcome! " It matters not this distance now " Excerpt, Yesterday's Love ~*~ KRJ |

welcome to PiP, nice metaphor...have an outbuilding that covers its north wall each year...a great reminder of the vitality of starting over as you said, with that "new leaf" ...btw, my ivy is poison |
