THE CONVERSATION 23 April 2011 It was a simple roadhouse on a quiet, winding country road. The bare tabletop was a harsh blue panelyte and their chairs were mismatched; his was a little rickety, but none of that mattered; patrons came and went and their coffee grew cold and the earth forgot to turn on its axis because they were immersed in a conversation that mattered and didn’t. As I read I kept wondering where the conversation was coming from and from whom, until I got to the last line. The killer (in a good sense) last line. Brava. ~ A lion will not cheat on his wife, but a Tiger Wood. ~ |

Oh, I love this, dear Owl. What mattered was staying together. Conversation of some sense is almost impossible when love creates chaos of emotion. Excellent. Love, Margherita |

Your mastery of words never ceases to amaze me. I love the entire thing. You led us on a great path to a superb ending. This is a keeper. |

Thank you, Jerry, for your kind words. Thank you, Margherita. You are right about the chaos of emotion, but simultaneously and paradoxically, there can be a peace and tranquillity that goes beyond the passion. Thank you Marcia. Smiling at the honour you do me. Thank you, Spiros. I am glad you enjoyed it. Owl |

I adore this, diana, the implication of the outside elements with conversation just seems perfect and unveils the deep of this conversation, I think you are in a row right now and share superb and numerous poems which are enchantment...Thanks a lot yann |

Diana...I love how you created this scene. It could have been anywhere human and you wrote right to the heart of it. |

Proving once again why you are among the best this site has to offer. I loved the imagery in this piece as I have been there many times. Great job Life's journey is not to arrive at the grave safely in a well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, totally worn out, shouting, "WHAT A RIDE |
