It isn’t as if she needs a reason Curiosity is enough to draw her in Always wanting to know the nature of things that strike her fancy She kicks up her heels and swishes her tail when she’s horsing around On days she’s feeling feline she stretches in undulating positions and is given to rubbing against Other times of a dog day afternoon she is fetching in her frisky playful panting LGR©4/22/11 |

Oh, so THAT is why you are such a lovely person! You are actually a horse-dog-cat! Lovely poem, sensual, but fun, and very clever. Owl |

I think you are a beautiful soul, Lori, who knows how to turn a phrase. Like this one. Nice work. ~ Don't insult the alligator till after you cross the river. ~ |

What a sweet thing to say Jerry. Actually I think I just know how to turn a cliche, but it seems to work...sometimes. Lori |

the only difference between a phrase & a cliche is that a phrase waits to be turned while a cliche waits to be learned...and the soul of good writing lies somewhere in between...this write dwells in that hallowed ground quite well |

Smiling with this... remembering my wonderbread days of acting "like" a horse.... being told in my early 20's that I "walked" like a horse, long strides, long neck, head into the wind.... and of course, being a Sag....well, that helps the imagination, too! Oh, did I say, "good stuff?" |
