you helped me in so many ways
things you'll never know
you taught me how to love again
and helped my heart to grow
to know that we will never touch
or feel that fire again
breaks my heart and makes me feel
some emptiness within
i take from you a smiling heart
and lots of memories
it hurt my heart to open up
and really set you free
