So, two weeks went by... long thought the scribe and what an emotional journey it's become the peaks and valleys rose... and settled some in his mind, and in his heart the journeys an end, or fresh new start of Capulets and Montagues he wrote a line and said a few opposing families the root of the thing a fluctuating woman and bells that ring "dump her now, don't write or meet!" the task ignored its truth he seeks those words Lady Montague, did profess our hero defiant, for love's true quest and at last, fair lass professed her squabble "untrustworthy foreigner" Capulets accused and babbled a stranger in a strange land or is fate at hand? the story unwritten, ending unfinished this act does close and tension diminish |

is it the same girl from the other poems? the one with the bad boyfriend - how did that turn out? or is this all fiction?  |

Oh, if only it were fiction, my life would be much simpler "normal" :-) No, my life IS stranger than fiction. It's all true, all my poems are based on truth. Thanks for reading the series, yes it's a continuing story of my life here in Prague. This is Act III. So, no, this is not about the girl with the bad boyfriend. The bad boyfriend girl was Act I. This is the 3rd girl I've dated here, hence act III. And it seems this one is ending or has ended, most likely :-( As for how Act I turned out... She was just using me to make her boyfriend jealous. He was cheating on her, so she cheated on him with me. She eventually told him that she would stop seeing me if he took her to Cuba. She did, and she went to Cuba. It's been 6 months since and he is cheating on her again and last I heard she found a new English teacher to flirt with... Predictably. Most people are a never ending cycle of repeat offenders |

really depressing but i got the impression that your love in Act I was unrequited? |

Not really depressing, though it has been at times, for short times until the next Act started. Then it's fun and exciting, and my what stories occur. :-) So, I'm excited to see what happens next. As for the love with the girl from Act I, it was semi-requited. If she hadn't loved me at some point, it wouldn't have worked. She seriously thought about leaving him, came very close to it twice. But, she never did, I didn't have the money to take her on Holiday at the time. I met him, and he knew this, he asked me about it. I didn't have much work over the summer and it took all my money. I told both of them, next year, which was and IS true. I'm about to go on holiday in Croatia, still planning it, now looking for a partner. So, we shall see what happens in act IV. :-) Until then I guess I'm still setting the stage, or the stage is being set for me. ;-) That poem will be coming tomorrow night probably. :-) or at least the first part of it... good luck in croatia, although it sounds like the girl from act 1 really got under your skin. what was her deal? |

I'm going Speed Dating tomorrow, so hopefully I will find someone to go to Croatia with me in a few weeks. The deal with Act I girl? I don't know, I was head over heels in love with her and I got burned, so... She really and truly cared for me for about 6 months, until I got tired of her empty promises to leave her boyfriend, and the trip to Cuba was the last straw. I found out about her agreeing not to see me for the trip to Cuba months after it happened. I saw her by coincidence/fate. She saw me, knew I was there, but ignored me. I sent her a nice message, but no reply. I sent her a nasty message accusing her of using me and after that, that was the end. Konec (the end) It was a bad ending, break up, but I needed it, I needed to be free to move on. I was still attached to her. So in the end it worked out ok for everyone I think. I didn't write much about Act II girl, never really was in love with her, she had a boyfriend too, but I didn't know until 2-3months into it, we were never really serious. Act III girl, I kept her poetry secret, mostly, just for her. I wasn't completely in love with her either, it was growing, so... But ended abruptly. It was always off and on with her. I think she had a boyfriend also because she would only meet me when she wanted, and mostly would only do things she wanted to do. The last time I saw her, it looked like she had a bruise on her arm, that someone had grabbed her, so... who knows, only she knows the truth. Basically many or most of these Czech women have Czech boyfriends. The boyfriends are mean to them, cheat on them, the women take care of them clean, cook etc etc and the men treat them like crap. Holidays are the strings by which relationships are held together here. So, the women look for a nice foreigner like me, to tempt them treat them properly and with respect, but in the end, few ever leave their boyfriends. Few are strong enough and many of them are physically abused and are afraid to leave. [This message has been edited by martiniat8 (04-19-2011 03:51 AM).] |
