I remember falling for Martha hard, It was in the first grade and she was sweet. If only then I could write like the bard, Write her love sonnets would make me complete. But another beauty did smile at me, Marilyn was her name, she was a cute, But I was so shy, couldn't find the key, She smiled at me; all I could do was hoot. Oh, then came Mitzi giving me the look, I was in a flux, knew not what to do. Wrote I love you to them all in my book, First grade fantasies, their pictures I drew. I inscribed their names, called them my three M's, And I secretly loved them, my three femmes. ©March 22, 2011 / Jerry Pat Bolton ~ OK, so what's the speed of dark? ~ |

Ah young love, so sweet. Good write Jerry. It was nice going back, remembering my crush on this boy in 6th grade, I never told him I was to shy. Hmmm...wonder whatever happened to him? |

He may be thinking of you as you are thinking of him, dreamgal, you never know. I kept a crush on these three girls all through high school until graduation. I, too, was too intimidated for many reason (home life for one) to make the moves. ~ OK, so what's the speed of dark? ~ |

Oh I remember in high school, (He ended up being my boyfriend) but he had a crush on me and I think like you Jerry he was just to nervous to tell me, it was sweet he would wait near my last class of the day, and finally I said why did you do that? And he said I thought you were pretty and every day I would try and get the nerve up to ask you out. I ended up asking my friend to set us up. I guess I was shy too, plus I never believed in me asking a boy out, it would have to be him (or me of course setting it up) lol ahhh the innocence of it all.. Nice walk down memory lane thanks Jerry! |

Jerry, You pay them an honour by remembering them after all the time that's passed. Growing up wasn't easy, was it? Enjoyed your words as usual. Helen |

DP, you rascal you . . . Thank you a bunch, Lori, for your comment and just being here. Hah! dreamgal, that's funny, especially since it was so much later in yours and his life. Never fear love finds a way, an, in this care it meant "setting it up." Appreciate the kind words, Helen, as I always do when I see your name in the comment box. ~ OK, so what's the speed of dark? ~ |
