She searched for meaning
in a world of darkness,
clinging to hope,
unsteady in balance
like a tightrope
w/everyone watching.

They watched her try
They watched her fail
They watched her rise
They watched her try
They watched her win

They snorted for they
Wished her to lose

She smiled at them
On her merry way
