As we walk the beach He turns to me softness in his eyes A carress on my cheek no need to speak A teardrop never lies I turn away no need to stay Those words I cannot bear I turn to flee he chases me my screams now fill the air my heart is racing I cannot breath my thoughts are all askew where am i going i ask myself Where am I running to? For you cant escape when your heart breaks theres no place to run to For nothing will shield you from the pain its something we must go thru |

I have no idea why this poem did not get any replies. It must have gotten lost in the shuffle and PiP pace. I enjoyed it. Alison |

Ah, yeah sometimes our poems get lost in the shuffle. sometime people are having a bad day and just don't feel like responding. This is pure love/pain/escapism. I like the way it went from the softness in his eyes to abject terror. Good stuff. ~ Why do we drive on a parkway and park on a driveway? ~ |
