In its duration I endured, climbing the steep hill tumbling at times caught in a mirror of love and deception your wayward style my own misgivings slap of water upon stone, I was pinned, held captive unloved, unforgiven yet I claimed victory albeit a tepid one finally, the radiance of sun, warms my face this cold morning. Welcome to the blue sea, EmmaRose~~ This is a stunning, bittersweet, beauty! Your word choice is concise and cuts to the quick. However, there is alot to be said for basking in the warmth of the sun and all that your closing lines imply. Beautifully done, enjoyed, very very much!! |

Welcome to PIP and thank you for this very good poem. If written from your own experiance it feels cathartic, like a release from dark and lonely days, to newer days in the sunshine and with the sunshine, new hope for whatever may come, be it love, laughter or just plain life without the dark times. Thought provoking, thank you. Goldenrose. Friendship is Love without his wings. Lord Byron. |

Greetings and salutations, EmmaRose. Welcome aboard the PiP Ship! ![]() Some love mountains are harder to climb than others but when we reach the summit, we know the sun is there! ~ Even when it is hiding behind the clouds as we're trudging along. it will eventually come out and then all our troubles seem to drift away! Bask in the radiance of the sun! All is well! ![]() I enjoyed your poem EmmaRose. Be happy! You deserve it! Love & Light, Earth Angel ![]() |

Welcome to PIP Emma. This poem you've written is really vividly passioned with crisp biting thoughts. I like these.. "your wayward style my own misgivings slap of water upon stone, I was pinned, held captive" Nice work! Eric true love never looks after it's own interests |

You have a definite way with biting the words off within the reader's gaze. You expect to read "this" and you wind up with "that." That is better every time. Like your style. ~ Never did I feel more devoted to my wife than after biting the wild garlic of treachery ~ |

First of all, I love the name Emma, and second, I love the poem. Don't even think about leaving here, believe me I've tried, they'll find your spirit wherever you are, and drag you back here where you belong... In case you didn't realize it, you just joined, a lifelong group. How little you know now, how lucky you are. Richard ![]() |

I'm dipping back in after a brief absence & I'm really glad I didn't miss this. Feeling the bittersweet with the honey of success, tepid or not your words feel right, they hit the spot & are very well expressed - sorry this is a bit late but hoping to hear more from you.x |

Your work is lovely dear EmmaRose. The "captive on stone" reminded me of something from mythology--but I'm having brain fog today. I'll come back when I remember. ![]() I very much enjoyed this. The symbolism is exquisite. ![]() |

Hello Emma! Your poem shows a courageous heart, and the sting of tears. May you partner with sun, and welcome to the warmth of these pages, too! ![]() [This message has been edited by Klassy Lassy (04-03-2011 09:27 AM).] |

You go, girl! Congratu-jolly-lations! Pretty much what you said in a reply to one of my poems today (well, I saw it today - have had no Internet connection at all for days!) Lovely poem too. Don't know how I missed it the first time round. Owl |
